Let's Create a Workflow

It's time to start communicating with your prospects and leads! 

Creating a workflow allows you to send direct mail, including postcards and letters to prospects and leads with just a few clicks.

With Profit Drive's automation, you can set a time duration within a workflow, which allows you to choose when you want your postcards/letters to be sent to your prospects and leads.

In just a few easy steps, you can send direct mail to your prospects and leads letting them know you're interested in doing business with them!

 

Objectives

In this support article, you will learn step-by-step how to create a workflow. 

 

Steps

1. Log in to your Profit Drive account. Then, click on Mailers located on the left-hand menu. In the drop-down menu, click on Workflows

2. You will be directed to your workflow management system. To create a new workflow, click on the plus sign located in the upper right-hand corner.

3. You will be taken to your workflow builder. Under Name your workflow, click on the orange line and type in a name for your workflow.

Then, scroll down to Start the Workflow. To choose how you would like to start your workflow, click on Postcard, Letter or Delay

Postcard 

1. To send a postcard, click on Postcard under "What would you like to happen next?"

2. Then, under Select the Postcard Template, click on Select the Postcard Template.

3. Several categories of postcard design options will appear. Click on a category that you want.

In the drop-down menu, browse through the postcard options by scrolling down and select a postcard that you want to use.

4. To view your selected postcard more closely, click on Preview located on the right-hand side.

Note: The preview of your selected postcard is only a mockup example.

If you have selected the wrong postcard, click on the template name of that particular postcard located under Select the Postcard Template.

By doing this, you will be directed back to where you can choose a different postcard.

5. If you want to edit a postcard, letter and/or delay that you have included in your workflow, click on the pencil icon located in upper right-hand side.

To delete a postcard, letter and/or delay, click on the trash can icon located next to the pencil. 

Note: You can use the pencil and trash can icons in each step of your workflow.

Delay 

Include a delay of time in between sending direct mail to your prospects and leads.

 

1. To insert a delay, click on Delay under "What would you like to happen next?"

2. Next, under Wait at least, click on the 0 located on the left-hand side and type in a number greater than 0.

Then, click on Select Delay. In the drop down-menu, click on either day(s), week(s), or month(s).

Letter

Perhaps you want to send out a letter after your delay. 

 

1. To send a letter, click on letter under "What would you like to happen next?"

2. Next, under Select the Letter Template, click on Select the Letter Template

3. Several categories of postcard design options will appear. Select a category that interests you.

Then, in the drop-down menu, click on a letter template that you want.

4. To view your selected postcard more closely, click on Preview located on the right-hand side.

Save & Close 

To continue building out your workflow, repeat the same steps above.

 

1. When you are finished building out this workflow, scroll all the way back up to the top of the page.

 

2. Then, click on Save

3. You will be directed back to your workflow management system where you can see your newly created workflow.
